Equipping the Saints for the Next Generation
Classes are starting

Our mission is to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ and into membership in His family, as stated in Matthew 28:18-20. Our goal is to guide and teach people to develop a Christ-like maturity, train them to study the Word of God, and equip them for their ministry in the church.

God has always been speaking; we have not always been listening. He is seeking those who would serve Him. He speaks to our minds, or intellect, so that we may clearly understand His will and purpose for us.
The Christian life is a long journey which begins on earth with our birth, and continues into eternity. We begin as spiritual children, and the journey continues as we grow to our full maturity in Christ. This is our first purpose. Our second purpose has to do with the mission that God has for every disciple—the ability to be able to spiritually reproduce ourselves in the lives of others. When Paul wrote his letter to the Colossians, this was his major objective in life:

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:28
Paul understood this lengthy journey and the stages we pass through from childhood into spiritual maturity. Since most people have never been discipled themselves, they have no idea how to disciple others. Equipping The Saints is a discipleship course which will guide you step-by-step through the discipleship process as you work to accomplish this mission. It is heartbreaking to see so many starts, but fail to grow much beyond being spiritual babes in Christ. “More is caught than taught.”

The writer of Hebrews said:

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. Hebrews 5:12,13

Why people don’t grow to full maturity is not an easy question to answer. We know that we have a faithful enemy who is doing everything in his power to make sure we don’t grow to maturity, but we can’t blame everything on the devil. Sometimes it is because we lead people to Christ and then do nothing to help them know what to do to grow and develop spiritually. Our objective was conversion, not maturity and discipleship. Or, maybe it is a lack of discipline on our part to carry through on what we know we should be doing. Let me suggest giving the time to this training to help you grow to full maturity in Christ.

The growth comes through the PROPER FUNCTIONING of "EACH individual."  In most churches 10 % of the people do 90% of the work.  Many American Christians complain about this fact, But the Fact Is That Their Churches Are Structured in Ways To Promote Passive Spectators.

They pack in large numbers who can do nothing but simply:
·         Watch The Professional Entertainment--
·         Watch The Ministry Provided On The Stage- Platform.

This is simply disobedient to the clear teaching of Scripture.

Paul Clearly states that  “Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”. Eph 4:13

Weekly Message

Greeting Brothers and Sisters,I trust you have had or are having a Great Day. This week’s message is simple and I hope that it connect with people as such simple principles usually do. I hope you find it helpful in your own life and work for the Lord. I pray that you pass it on to someone that it may build, bless and benefit. I can’t imagine how great the joy would be to know that my life and actions have pleased the Lord of life. What an incredible thing to hear God say, “I’m proud of you.” And consider how wonderful it would be for someone in Heaven to say to us, “I am here today because I saw the love of Christ in you.” I find it hard to think of anything that would be greater than these words.

Get out of the window seat

Acts 20:9-10

9              And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
10           And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

I’m a very positive person, and I always try to speak a word that will lift people up and encourage them and help them to possess all the promises of God. But along the way sometimes in order to get the blessings we might have to make some adjustments. My aim in this message is that by the time it is finished that not one person will find themselves seated in the window.

The window Seat: There certainly is no such place from a natural perspective, because the window is not made for sitting, it is a very uncomfortable place, it is a place through which light and fresh air enters the room. Nevertheless in a spiritual sense there are many in the church today like this young man, that are sitting in this most precarious and dangerous place called the window seat. I believe that the man in our text had become disinterested in what was taking place inside, he had lost his desire for the things of God, The word of God was no longer exciting to him, he slipped farther and farther away from the presence of the Spirit and Word. As you know the window is the Place where you can be inside and still see what’s going on outside. There is today in our churches a very obvious inside outside spirit. It is the spirit that wants all the blessings of God, healing, miracles, prosperity, all without a commitment.

From the window seat you have such a good view. You can see all the problems in the church, hear every sour note, you can see how everything should be done, you know right away what kind of praise we should have, you know when the preacher preaches a dud, you can see all the weaknesses, and faults of others.  It’s amazing the view you have from the window seat. From the window seat things that you had left outside are easy to see, Things that God delivered you from come back into view, things that you had shut the door on and left outside, things that you knew were destroying your life, hurting your body, causing division in your family, all of a sudden they become visible again, and from the window seat they become attractive.

The window seat is a very dangerous place, But like Eutychus There are so many that are deceived into believing that they can look at those things and it won’t have any effect on them. They believe they can think about it as long as they don’t do it. So they start flirting with thoughts of how much fun it would be just one more time to watch one of those sex rated movies, or to call up that old worldly friend, to drink one more beer, smoke that last joint, the list goes on and on.  Of course they think I would never do that; I’m just looking around, just thinking. At first these thoughts of the things of the world, are painful, we think shame on me for even thinking about those things, but the more you allow yourself to think about it the more comfortable, it becomes, until suddenly it seems without any warning you are falling, falling into that lust, falling into those old associations, falling back into those old ways of talking, falling back into those desires that you thought were dead, falling back into those habits that you had been delivered from.

Eutychus never intended to fall. However He fell from 3 stories up. This tells me that even the most spiritual have to be watchful and diligent lest they fall. Eutychus fall to his death. He lost his passion for the things of God. He was more out than in. At midnight he fell from his window seat.  Somebody today, need to change seats, need to get up out of the window seat and reconnect to what God is say inside, because the message of the word and the view from the window is always changing. Are you more outside than inside or more inside than outside – Maybe you need to make up your mind to be inside or outside. You can’t have it both ways.

So I’m closing: I want to speak to those fortunate ones, who have known the goodness of the Lord, but for one reason or another you have found yourself in the window seat, and now you’re more out than you are in. You may have already fallen, and people around you just don’t know it yet. Maybe you have already given into those old desires, and you’re just going through the motions. You are fortunate today because you are hearing the Gospel, the good news that Jesus loves you and he died for you, and he will forgive you of your sins and he will come and live in your heart if you’ll just ask him to.  It doesn’t matter which category you’re in.  The good news is, Jesus loves you, and he will pick you up, and he will put his life in you and he will make you an example of his love his mercy and his grace.

Blessings to You

Carl

What is an Evangelical?

Evangelicals take the Bible seriously and believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

The term “evangelical” comes from the Greek word euangelion, meaning “the good news” or the “gospel.” Thus, the evangelical faith focuses on the “good news” of salvation brought to sinners by Jesus Christ.
